Director of Philanthropic Advising

Elizabeth M. George, is an accomplished St. Louis nonprofit professional. As Director of Philanthropic Advising, George will offer strategic advice and counsel to the Foundation’s largest donor and family funds, as well as private foundation clients. 

Previously, George served for four years as a managing director at The Rome Group, where she provided strategic and organizational planning and development consulting services to nonprofit organizations, foundations, social service enterprises, advocacy groups, educational institutions, and faith-based organizations. 

Prior to her tenure at The Rome Group, George spent 10 years as Vice President of Programs at Deaconess Foundation and was Director of Business Development for the St. Louis office of the Rensselaerville Institute, a nonprofit consulting organization. 

George earned her MSW from the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University and her MBA from the Harvard Business School. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Puget Sound.
