Tameka R. Herrion
As Scholarship Manager at the St. Louis Community Foundation, Tameka has three goals:
• to stay informed on the educational climate and issues specifically affecting students in St. Louis;
• to keep scholarship donors informed so they will know how to be most impactful with their giving;
• and to be a catalyst in removing some of the barriers students face in securing resources to finance their postsecondary education through outreach and the management of the Foundation’s scholarship funds.
Tameka brings to this position over 10 years experience working at both public and private higher education institutions in the areas of enrollment management, grant administration, and college success, retention and graduation of low-income and first-generation college students. She currently serves on the board and chairs the Scholarship Committee for TRIO’s MO-KAN-NE state professional association and holds a Master’s Degree in Higher Education: Administration from Southeast Missouri State University.
